The Food Xplorer (FOX) is a semi-quantitative test for the determination of specific immunoglobulin G (sIgG) antibodies against 286 food antigens, including 13 food groups. The MADx test detects IgG antibodies from all four subclasses, including immune-activating IgG1 and IgG3 antibodies, immune modulating IgG2 antibodies, and immune blocking IgG4 antibodies. It is important to note that acute IgE-mediated allergic response and IgG-mediated immune response are completely independent mechanisms, each requiring independent testing. Though IgG antibodies can be elevated in cases of both tolerance and intolerance, IgG screening can be a useful tool for the identification of specific targets for food elimination diets.1
The Food Xplorer assay requires just 12µL of serum or plasma.

Cases of food and environmental allergies have been increasing over the last decade. While conservative estimates suggest IgE-mediated allergy affects 6-8% of children and 2-3% of adults, some estimates are as high as 30%.3, 2 Symptoms can range from mild to severe and include itching, hives,...
Food sensitivity or food intolerance involves a non-allergic response to a food or food additive. In a recent on-line survey conducted in the U.S., 24% of adults aged 18 to 79 reported a food intolerance. While a food allergy is typically mediated by IgE antibodies, adverse reactions to food...
