The Allergy Xplorer3 (ALEX3) is a quantitative test for the measurement of allergen specific IgE (sIgE) to 300 allergens and a quantitative (at 2 – 1,000 kU/L) or semi-quantitative (at 1,001 – 2,500 kU/L)  test for the measurement of total IgE (tIgE) in human serum, heparin plasma, and sodium citrate plasma.  For Research Use Only.  Not for Use in Diagnostic Procedures.

The ALEX Evolution:

The ALEX³ is the third iteration of the Allergy Xplorer and features a comprehensive panel of 300 allergens, including high-relevance allergen sources and 85 allergen families. It contains 218 molecular allergens, 107 of which are unique to the test - and features the widest range of molecular allergens on the market!  The ALEX3 is available in a 20-array (catalog 87-03-2001-02) or 50-array (catalog 87-03-5001-02) kit.

ALEX3 Features:

  • 218 molecular allergens
  • 82 extracts
  • 145 allergen sources
  • Quantitative results for sIgE and tIgE

Unique Benefits:

  • Complete sensitization profile in one assay run
  • Identification of co- & cross-sensitizations
  • Elimination of irrelevant antibodies (false-positive results) due to CCD blocking

The 20-test kit is intended for manual processing with the ImageXplorer instrument. To use with the automated MAX 9K instrument, washing solution and stop solution must be ordered separately. The 50-test kit is intended for automated processing with either the MAX 9K or 45K instrument only and should not be used with the ImageXplorer instrument.
